Using Shiitake Powder♪ Beef & Bok Choy Stir Fry

Use Shiitake powder to bring this Chinese cuisine to the next level! Substitute Shiitake powder (1 Tbsp) for (1 tsp rehydrated in water for 10 minutes) for even more Umami and flavor.

Ingredients (4 servings) (30 minutes)

  • 200g Beef or pork
  • A pinch of salt & pepper
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 Tbsp Potato starch/cornstarch
  • 1/2 Welsh onion
  • 2 Bok choy
  • 2 Red bell peppers
  • 2 Tbsp Vegetable oil
  • 1 Tbsp Sesame oil
  • 2 tsp Sake-A
  • 2 Tbsp Soy sauce-A
  • 4 tsp Sugar-A
  • 1.5 tsp Chinese seasoning (powder)-A
  • 1 Tbsp Water-A
  • 2 tsp oyster sauce-A
  • 1 Tbsp Shiitake powder-A



Cut the meat into bite-size pieces and season with salt & pepper. Then, dip them in beaten eggs and coat them in potato or corn starch.

Finely slice the welsh onion and cut the bok choy and red bell peppers into bite-size pieces.

Heat up vegetable oil in a frying pan and stir fry the welsh onion and meat. Once caramelized, add the bok choy and red bell peppers.

Once the bell peppers are soft, add the A, condiments and mix well. Serve with a splash of sesame oil on top.
