Using Shiitake Powder♪ Chicken Wings Braised in Soy Sauce

Braise chicken with bones together with Shiitake powder for a rich and delicious taste! The unique Guanylate present in dried Shiitake will thicken the Umami taste in the bones.

Ingredients (2 servings) (60 minutes)

  • 1 Tbsp Shiitake powder
  • 8–10 pieces Chicken wings
  • as required Salt & pepper
  • 1 Tbsp Vegetable oil
  • 1/2 (50g) Welsh onion (cut into large pieces)
  • 1 piece Ginger (finely chopped)
  • 2 Green bell peppers (thinly sliced)
  • 1 Red bell pepper (thinly sliced)
  • 350ml Water
  • 1 Tbsp Oyster sauce
  • 1 Tbsp Soy sauce
  • as required Potato or corn starch dissolved in water

Cut off the tips of the chicken wings, parboil, and marinate with salt and pepper.

Cut the Welsh onion into large pieces, finely chop the ginger, and thinly slice the bell peppers.

Heat up vegetable oil in a frying pan and grill the chicken wings.

Add the Shiitake powder, water, Welsh onion, and ginger and let it simmer for 5 minutes before adding the oyster sauce and soy sauce.

Finally, add the bell peppers, thicken the sauce with the starch slurry, and serve.
